10 for 1000 Watch List Updated Week of June 30th
posted by daytraderockstar
Jun 30, 2009 1:26 am
I want to mention that each week as there are new watch list posted stocks that are currently in play will be kept on the watch list untill they hit their target or they fall out of a pattern. Also i recommend to print out the watch list as a reference and study guide for pattern recognition. There will be another upgrade of the site this week and you will see some big changes and faster alerts.
Upgrade
-Real time portfolio update from buy alerts
-archived trades (past trade results)
a bunch of other technical stuff i will mention when i see them up on site.
Friday is a holiday for the US markets so expect markets not to get to busy, but overall coming back today and doing all my scans to catch up I am still seeing some upside potential and the stocks are beginning to seperate between trending bullish pull backs and overall weak patterns. I will continue to focuse on the bullish set ups until the market gives a clear sell signal.
I will also be adding to the watch list each time i come across a good set up, these will be emailed as usual
one last note: while on vacation Michael jackson passed away. Thinking wow thats big never would expect that, then coming into post today, Billy Mays Pitch man on TV Dead.. Farrah Fawcet Gone.. Charlies Angles Seems so surreal to see everyone passing. Then i come home and find out my neighbor died of a massive heart attack Mid 40's. It sneaks up on you when you least expect it, today its your neighbor, Tomorrow ?

WSJ: Apple CEO Steve Jobs had liver transplant
posted by daytraderockstar
Jun 20, 2009 12:32 pm
NEW YORK (AP) — Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs, who has been on medical leave for undisclosed reasons since January, received a liver transplant two months ago in Tennessee but is recovering well, The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday.
The newspaper didn't specify a source for the report, which comes as Jobs is said to be preparing to return to work.
Apple spokesman Steve Dowling declined to comment Saturday on whether Jobs had a liver transplant. But he said in a statement that "Steve continues to look forward to returning to Apple at the end of June and there is nothing further to say."
Jobs, 54, disclosed in August 2004 that he had been treated for a form of pancreatic cancer.
But the gaunt appearance of the charismatic co-founder of Apple last year fueled speculation that he could be suffering from a severe medical condition. On Jan. 5, he said that he had a treatable hormone imbalance and that he would continue to run the company.
The following week, however, Jobs went on leave for medical issues he said were "more complex" than he had thought. Apple's chief operating officer, Tim Cook, took over daily duties.
Jobs' health is a concern for investors because of the influence he has had in shaping Apple's products and design choices. Jobs regained control of the company in 1997.
The Journal said in Saturday's editions that the type of cancer Jobs had can metastasize in other organs, according to William Hawkins, a doctor specializing in pancreatic and gastrointestinal surgery at Washington University in St. Louis.
The paper quoted Hawkins as saying liver transplants to treat metastasized neuroendocrine tumors are controversial because livers are scarce and the procedure's efficacy hasn't been proved.

Swing Trade Alert "HOG"
posted by daytraderockstar
Jun 15, 2009 4:26 pm
Today I started a position in HOG baased on my 10 for 1000 watch list set up, I recieved an email after market asking where a good entry is on this stock, So i wanted to share some more details to everyone. This is a really Great set up and even though members get the first entries and info I like to share some very positive set ups with the visitors of the site, Hope you are profitable in the markets
Steve
Started my own position today in HOG The only downside i see is the stochastics are not fully in an oversold area, but there is good support here from 15.50-16.00 and one other secondary criteria i haven't mentioned yet is the PE at 6.44, Even if we see a further move down I will don't think we will get below 15.00 and would look to add at 15.20 this would set us up in a falling wedge pattern. My target on this trade is 20

DeltaStrikejj Weekly Watch List

Weekly Watchlist 6/15
Going into option expiration week the SPX sits at 946 and just above its 200 day ema. It seems like the last two full weeks the market has done nothing but trade between 925-950. While most indicators are overbought and everybody and their brother is calling for a selloff, the market has shown incredible poise. I think we are due for a pullback as well and there are several signals from other markets saying that we will. It seems like the energy sector has been holding the market up as tech pulled back last week. The dollar looks ready to retrace its recent losses against the Euro and the bond market looks to have bottomed in the short term. These are just some of the markets I watch to see what the equities might do next.
With that said the price action on the chart of the SPX still looks bullish and this sideways consolidation may prove to be a coiled spring which is setting us up for the next leg higher. Of course we need to see this confirmed with a close above 950 first. At the same time this is not the kind of market you want to short so the prudent thing to do is get flat and wait for Mr. Market to show you some direction.
With this week being expiration week I think we could get that move we have been waiting for. If we can get a close over 950 then I think we see 989 quickly as a first target. My bias will be cautiously bullish unless we see a dip under the 20 day ema down around 925.

VZ update
posted by daytraderockstar
Jun 09, 2009 1:38 pm
Feel an upside move buildinghere in VZ, stochastics on the daily are not set up right yet, but the interday pattern could get us above 29.29 wherei just added 100 shares, Again i would raise my bullishness on this stock on any close above the 20 ema on the daily chart. target would be around 31 or the 200 day moving average
