DayTraderRockStar's Kick Ass Watch List has Been Uploaded

Very happy with this week's watch list. First of all, I have 5 "Kick Ass Trades" on the watch list this week and even though each one may not work out this week, I am willing to put it on the line and go for the record.

Since the beginning of the new year, I have been extremely focused on keeping my patience in check and focusing on discipline and it has paid off. The key is knowing you are doing something right and when you falter from the path, you end up paying for it. You then adjust and correct the mistake and you "improve" going forward. That's has been the motto all year and you should have seen clear results.

Even today, when I review my trades of the past week and month, it is easy to pinpoint the mistakes.  They were all trades that either got caught in earnings (CRR, BIDU) or were higher risk non High Probability Setups (HPS) trades (IDCC, FIO, BLWD). The other 30 trades were based on a strict methodology that kept us focused on risk vs reward by taking the risk out of the trade and forcing us to take the reward. At one point, you need to establish whatever it takes to make you apply the rules that are important to successful trading. I want to scream this sometimes. But I know because I was once a trader who was learning the ropes, that I needed to find out what didn't work before I was able to comprehend what didn't work 100% but work a very high majority of the times. That is the secret to trading. There is no Holy Grail in trading but  having confidence in your ability to trade and make a living at it is a big help.

Let me ask you a question. You can go to casino #1 and play all the games poker, slots, roulette, even the big slot that offers to pay you 12 million dollars if you hit the jackpot. All the games are house rules and it is purely a casino. Or you can go into Casino #2 and only play 3 games, each game's payout is limited to a $100.00 but the games have a higher probability payout or win rate. That's what the High Probability Setups (HPS) methodology locks you into. Playing the right games. What casino do you want to play in? Tough choice. I know it's hard to sit behind that desk all day and wait for the next set up, but in these markets, this is the only way to gain the edge against the volatility brought on by High Frequency Traders (HFT), algorithms and black boxes. You need to concentrate on the higher odds if you want to make it in the long run.

I think I got a little long winded.  Hope you caught my drift. Enjoy the watch list. It's a great one.

There are great set ups that are nearing their trigger points this week, but we need to have them set up properly before acting on them or we might as well throw darts at the symbols. Stay Focused and Disciplined. This upcoming week has historically been awful.

This week's Watch List has has a great selection and 2 Kick Ass Trades of the Week. I posted some personal notes on the video page that really narrow down where I am looking go early in the week. IRF could easily qualify as a Kick Ass Trade and will become one as we hit out buy trigger.  So, watch for the alerts on that one especially.

We started the new year off  highly disciplined and the Kick Ass Trades continue their streak of success!
