Futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 218 points to 9,825.00, indicating the blue chip index is at risk of closing below the 10,000 mark for the first time since Feb. 8.

S&P 500 futures fell 27.5 points to 1,043.50 and Nasdaq 100 futures dropped 40 points to 1,772.50.
